GARDNER - Jennie (Krol) Kulczyk, 101, of 138 Temple Street, Gardner, died on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the Wachusett Manor Nursing Home in Gardner.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 31, 1909, the daughter of the late Piotr and the late Josefa (Swajkowska) Krol.
Jennie was a resident of Gardner for ninety-four years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church and its Holy Rosary Sodality. Mrs. Kulczyk worked as a receptionist at the former Central Street Medical Building, retiring several years ago. She also worked as a clerk at Gem Industries many years ago. She was a Ward 1 Poll worker for many years.
She leaves her daughter, Felicia Poliks and her husband David M. Poliks of Gardner; three grandchildren, Mark D. Poliks and his wife Barbara of Vestal, NY, Christine Poliks of Melrose, Carolyn Poliks and her husband Joseph MacIndewar of Melrose; four great grandchildren, Mark G. Poliks, Elizabeth Poliks both of Vestal, NY, Ania MacIndewar, Lea MacIndewar both of Melrose. She also leaves her niece, Theresa M. Kulis of Gardner; and a nephew, Edward Wojdylak of Summerdale, PA.
She was predeceased by her husband of forty-four years, Felix J. Kulczyk, on March 15, 1972; also by her sister, Irene Wojdylak; and by two brothers, Anthony King and Theodore King.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 358 Pleasant St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant Street, Gardner.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to St. Joseph's Church, 358 Pleasant St., Gardner, MA 01440.
