Jennie H. Waskiewicz

  GARDNER - Jennie H. Waskiewicz, 94 of Gardner, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 in the Baldwinville Nursing Home. She was born in Gardner, on June 13, 1918, the daughter of the late Donat and the late Helen (Staskiewicz) Waskiewicz. She was a 1936 graduate of Gardner High School and attended secretarial school in Hartford, CT where she later worked for a brokerage firm. Jennie returned to Gardner to become a caretaker for her parents for many years.  She enjoyed corresponding with her relatives in Europe and visiting with family and friends. She leaves many cousins.  She was predeceased by her brother Vitold F. Waskiewicz in 2003. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 am in St. Joseph's Church, 358 Pleasant St., Gardner.  Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Poliks Funeral Home 431 Pleasant St., Gardner. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
