Jerry Carroll Descoteaux, born June 22, 1953, in Biddeford, ME, USA, was a beacon of light in our lives, whose spirit will forever reflect in the hearts of those who loved him. An ambitious soul, Jerry was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished brother, and a doting grandfather. His dedication was evident in every aspect of his life, especially towards his family, who were the center of his world.
Jerry lived a fulfilling life, filled with laughter and joy. His sense of humor was infectious, making him the life of every gathering. He had a unique ability to turn ordinary moments into memorable ones, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. Jerry's professional life was equally impressive, serving as a Safety Manager for a Chemical Company before retirement. His courage was exemplified through his 30-year tenure as a volunteer firefighter for the Ashburnham Fire Department, a feat that showcased his bravery and selflessness. His commitment to this cause didn't stop at retirement, as he continued to share his experience and knowledge as an Instructor at the Fire Academy in Stow, MA.
Jerry Descoteaux is survived by his beloved wife, Joanne Descoteaux, his daughters Julie Kennedy and Angela Mallette, his son-in-laws Aaron Kennedy and Matt Mallette, his sister Terry Lombardi, and his brother Peter Descoteaux. One of his greatest joys in life was being "Grampa" to his adoring grandchildren; Ashley and Kyle Kennedy, and Cameron, Joshua, Benjamin, and Logan Mallette. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerard and Claire Descoteaux, his brothers; Leon, Michael, Paul, David, and Mark Descoteaux, and his mother-in-law, Madeline Crumley. In addition to his family, Jerry leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends who will forever cherish the moments they shared and the impact he had on their lives.
