Joan L. Dubois

ATHOL - Joan L. Dubois, of Athol, died Friday, July 31, 2009 at the age of 74, in the UMass Medical Center, Worcester. She was predeceased by her father Albert A. Dubois who died in April of 1971; her mother Beatrice C. (Bundza) Dubois who died in December of 1996; and her brother Albert J. Dubois who died in January of 2008. She leaves many cousins in the United States and Canada, along with many friends. Joan entered into Religious Life after graduating high school and was a nun for eight years before leaving due to her health and to take care of her parents. She was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church. Joan enjoyed doing crafts and reading. She loved her church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 at the Murphy Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Athol. $(document).ready(function(){ });
