Joan A. Nadeau

ATHOL - Joan A. (Clement) Nadeau, 75 of 337 Crescent St., Athol, died Monday, January 15, 2007, in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol. She was born in Montague, on August 13, 1931, the daughter of the late Stanley J. and the late Caroline (Dobosz) Clement. Joan grew up in Turners Falls and Athol and graduated from Athol High School with the class of 1949. Mrs. Nadeau was retired from the L.S. Starrett Company. She was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards with friends and trips to the casino. She leaves one sister, Barbara C. White and her husband William of Athol; one brother, Albert C. Clement of Athol; a step daughter, Yvette Lecroix of Orange; four nephews, William M. White of Barre; Kevin S. White of Athol; Craig A. White of Athol; and Albert Clement of Northampton, MA; and four great nephews and one great niece. She was predeceased by her husband Clifton Nadeau who died in 1982. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 19, 2007, at 10:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol. Calling hours will be held Thursday, January 18, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Athol.
