Hubbardston-Joan M (Wolk) Tattan 83, died Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Heywood Hospital after an illness.
She was the wife of 60 years to the late Francis D. Tattan, Jr. who died in 2020.
Joan leaves three children, Michael D. Tattan of Cummington, MA, Glenn W. Tattan and his wife Suzanne of Petersham and Kathleen G. Barney and her husband Alfred
of Atkinson, NH: seven grandchildren, Katharine, Daniel, William, and Peter Tattan all of Petersham and Sarah, Alfred, and Matthew Barney all of Atkinson, NH; one sister Carolyn Beaton of Gloucester and several nieces and nephews.
Joan was born in Worcester, on March 4, 1938 a daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Hryniuk) Wolk. She graduated from High School in Worcester and then studied nursing at Hahnemann Nursing School where she earned her RN. She spent the majority of her nursing career at Barre Health Center. She lived in Hubbardston for over 50 years. She was an avid gardener and loved to travel with family and friends.
Joan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her funeral will be held on August 7, 2021 at 12 Noon in the Lamoureaux-Smith-Poliks Chapel of the Mack Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
Burial will be privately in the Rural Glen Cemetery in Hubbardston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Joan's name to the Hubbardston Lions Club, P.O. Box 108, Hubbardston, MA 01452.
