Joanne C. Erickson

NEWBURY, NH - Joanne C. Erickson, 70 of 28 Shore Drive, Newbury, NH, formerly of Gardner, MA died Thursday, January 22, 2009 at home. She was born in Lewiston, Maine, on May 15, 1938, the daughter of the late Harold and the late Clara (Williams) Page. Joanne was a resident of Gardner for many years moving to Newbury, New Hampshire in 2000. She was a graduate of Towle High School in Newport, NH graduating with the class of 1956. She graduated from the Heywood Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. Joanne was a registered nurse at Heywood Hospital and for many years she also practiced as a private duty nurse. She leaves one daughter, Karen L. Erickson of Parkville, MD; one son, Kevin T. Erickson of Gardner, MA; one sister, Patricia Ware of E. Sangerville, Maine; one brother, Harlen Page of Newbury, NH; two aunts, Hazel Downing of Manchester, NH, Lillian Smith of Haverhill, MA and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas B. Erickson who died in 1995. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon Street, Gardner. Burial in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner will be at a later date. A calling hour will be held Thursday from 12 to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
