GARDNER - John F. Agnelli, 94 of Gardner, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in the Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
He was born in Otter River on October 13, 1921, the son of the late Jolm and the late Romana (Mannello) Agnelli.
John grew up in Otter River. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II he served under General Patton in Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He received the Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, American Theater Campaign Ribbon and the Victory Medal.
Mr. Agnelli worked as a car salesman before working for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company as a Insurance Agent. He was a member of the Gardner V.F.W. Post #905. He was a car buff and enjoyed spending time in Maine.
He leaves a daughter, Janet Therrien and her husband David of Port Charlotte, FL; one son, Francis J. Agnelli and his wife Lou Ann of Waterboro, Maine; two sisters, Eva Varoli and Jenny Trinque both of Baldwinville and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Lorettta (Maillet) Agnelli; by one sister, Mary Bourque and by two brothers, Alfred Agnelli and Dominic Agnelli.
Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours.
