ORANGE - John M. Blake, 32, of 130 Oaklawn Ave., Orange, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, after an illness.
He was born in Greenfield, on July 11, 1975, the son of Dennis and Susan (Marcotte) Blake.
He attended Franklin County Technical School and worked at Erving Paper Mill for several years. He enjoyed working on and racing cars and motorcycles. He was devoted to his family, and was a very proud father.
Besides his loving parents, he also leaves one daughter, Jordyn Blake; two sons, Andrew Blake and Nicholas Blake, all of Orange; his companion, Amy Murray and her daughter Elyse Stuart of Orange; one sister, Nicole Blake; one nephew, Nathan Mitchell; two nieces, Taylor Dahlstrom and Irissa Mitchell, all of Orange; his maternal grandparents, Robert Marcotte and Julianne Marcotte of Orange; also many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 11, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Templeton.
Calling hours will be held Friday, April 11, 2008 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to American Cancer Society's, New England Division Office, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
