GARDNER- John E. Debasitis,64 of Gardner, passed away on December 19, 2017 at Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
John was born on July 13, 1953 the son of the late William Debasitis and Helen (Halfrey) Debasitis. John grew up in Gardner and was a life-long resident of Gardner.
He was employed at Heywood Hospital for 45 years and worked in food service.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, bingo, swimming, trips to Foxwoods and watching cowboy shows. He was the type of person who would help anyone.
He leaves his wife of 28 years, Marjorie (Pierce) Debasitis; one daughter, Krystal A. Debasitis of Gardner; two step-sons, Robert J. Breau of Baldwinville, & John E. Breau of Orange; two sisters, Gloria O'Malley of Gardner, & Patricia Vaillancourt of Phillipston; two brothers, George Debasitis of Fitchburg, & Paul Debasitis of Mabank Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held, Friday, December 22, 2017 from 6-8pm at the Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks Funeral Home, 105 Central St. Gardner.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10am in the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Gardner.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
