GARDNER - John L. Fischesser, 78, of Gardner died Saturday, March 14, 2015 at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus of Worcester after a short illness.
John was born August 19, 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of the late Lee and the late Alice (Webb) Fischesser.
He was a 20 year Army veteran having served in Germany, Japan and two tours in Vietnam. After retiring he worked at Simplex Time Recorder for 24 years.
John loved playing golf, woodworking, reading and watching sports on television.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Dorothy (Wheaton) Fischesser.
He was predeceased by his son, Matthew Fischesser; by three brothers, Raymond, William and Louis and by one sister, Clara all of Cincinnati.
He will be missed by many nieces and nephews here in Massachusetts also in Ohio and New York.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in the Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 9:30 - 11:00 am at the funeral home.
