John M Hayes

Orange- John M. Hayes, 58, of 665 East Main Street, Orange Passed away on September 29, 2012 while visiting in New York. John was the son of the late Albert and Theresa (Landry) Hayes. John grew up in Athol and attended Athol schools. He worked for several furniture companies as a driver and mover including Nichols & Stone of Gardner, Athol Table Shop, MCM Furniture of Leominster, Airport Appliance of Leominster and Huntington Homes. John enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his brother Jim, listening to music, doing gardening and canning vegetables from his garden. His favorite hobby was working with his father in their garage. John leaves behind his girlfriend of 5 years Kim George of Cuba, NY and her granddaughter Aryana, which he looked upon as his own, his son John Hayes Jr. of Orange, one brother James Hayes of Orange, one sister Lana Richard of Athol, his nieces Kim Hayes-Bardsley of Orange, Crystal St.Pierre of Orange and his nephew Jim Hayes of Orange. A calling hour will be held on Monday October 8, 2012 from 10:00am-11:00am with a memorial service beginning at 11:00am in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home 110 New Athol Road, Orange, MA. Burial will follow in the family plot at Glenwood Cemetery, Ashby, MA. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be left at the funeral home to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
