FITCHBURG - John C. Martioski, 43 of Fitchburg formerly of Gardner, died Tuesday, September 22, 2009 in the Golden Living Center, Fitchburg. He was born in Gardner, on April 11, 1966, the son of the late Joseph J. Martioski, Jr. and the late Barbara E. (Hackett) Martioski. John grew up in Gardner and was educated in Gardner. He was a cook at Williams Restaurant many years ago. He was a member of the former Royal Cadet Drum and Bugle Corps. He was President of the Residents Council at the Golden Living Center for many years, where he enjoyed playing bingo. He leaves two daughters, Lisa A. Martioski, Amanda L. Martioski both of Gardner; one son, John C. Martioski, Jr. of Orange; three sisters, Barbara Lu Ann L. Martioski of Ashby, Phyllis Goodwin and her husband David of Westminster, Lisa Benoit of Middleton, RI; two grandsons, Jayden Hobb and Alan Hittle, Jr. both of Gardner. He was predeceased by his brother James E. Martioski who died in 1988. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 25, 2009 at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 166 Cross St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mack Funeral Home 91 Vernon St., Gardner. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Golden Living Center - Activity Fund, 1199 John Fitch Highway, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
