GARDNER- John J. Pieloch, Sr., 94, of Gardner, formerly of Templeton, passed away Monday, February 4, at Alliance Health Baldwinville, after a short illness.
John was born September 28, 1924 in Gardner, son of the late Alexander and Mary (Fardgick) Pieloch. He graduated from Gardner High School in 1943. He worked for Heywood Wakefield for eleven years and then for General Electric in Fitchburg for thirty two years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom picking, oil painting, traveling, and history, especially about WWII and Poland.
He leaves two daughters, Lisa J. Pieloch Miller and her husband, William of Newton, and Mary Deckert of Germany; three sons, Mark J. Pieloch and his wife, Theresa of Homestead, FL, John J. Pieloch Jr. and his wife Evelyn of Pittsfield, and James A. Lison of Gardner; 10 grandchildren, Michael Deckert, Irene Deckert, Lynn Lison, Michael Lison, Rachel Pieloch, Katherine Drake, Melissa Miller, Greta Miller, Alexander Pieloch, and Nicholas Pieloch as well as two great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Hazel J. (Lashua) Pieloch in 1996. and by his brother, Joseph Polchlopek.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 8, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Mack Family Funeral Homes, Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks Chapel 105 Central St. Gardner. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
