GARDNER- John L. Stacy, 93, of Gardner, passed away peacefully at home, after a long illness, with family in attendance on June 26.
He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather to three children- daughter, Meryl, and sons, Larry and John; grandchildren, Hollie and Cole and great grandchild, Jaxon. He is predeceased by wives, Lorraine (Carlson) and Anita (Allain) and five brothers, Arnold, Robert, Frederick, James, and Edward. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A lifelong Gardner resident, he was a member of the Otter River Sportsman Club and an active member of the Hope Masonic Lodge #65, becoming a Grand Master. He was especially proud of being part of the administering of their annual college scholarships to worthy students and the donation of books to the Gardner school system.
Calling hours are Wednesday, July 3 from 10:00am to 12:00pm with a Masonic service and Military Honors beginning at 12:00 Noon at Mack Family Funeral Homes, Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks Chapel, 105 Central St., Gardner. Burial will be private in Maine.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the VNA Hospice and Palliative Care, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608, or the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
