TEMPLETON - John T. Wictoski, 92 of Templeton, died Monday, June 7, 2021 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol.
He was born in Baldwinville on February 20, 1929, the son of the late John J. Wictoski and the late Mary E. (O'Brien) Wictoski.
John graduated from Templeton High School in 1947. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was Assistant Manager of the First National Supermarket in Gardner 32 years. He also worked the L.S. Starrett Company for 15 years.
John was a member of the Baldwinville American Legion and the Gardner V.F.W. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Marjorie (O'Brien) Wictoski who passed in 2013.
He leaves two daughters, Linda Sharron and her husband Butch of Gardner; Kathleen Flaminio of Templeton; one sister, Mary Bosworth of Baldwinville; a sister in-law, Dot Fischesser of Gardner; three grandchildren, Carrie Capell and her husband Justin of Southboro, MA, Derek Sharron and his wife Lauren of Southboro, Kellie Flaminio of Templeton; four great grandchildren, Ava and Alexandra Capell, Aidan and Ella Sharron all of Southboro, MA; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon.
There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Quabbin Valley Healthcare Activity Fund, 821 Daniel Shays Highway, Athol, MA 01331.
