Athol – John Lawrence Zanga, 65, of Athol, husband of Eileen Zanga, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 peacefully surrounded by family at Umass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester. He was born in Athol on January 5, 1953, the son of Amedeo and Albertine (Plantin) Zanga. John grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School with the class of 1972. He enjoyed softball, golfing, hunting, and fishing. He loved spending time with friends and family, and most of all, his grandchildren. He leaves his loving wife, Eileen (Holston) Zanga, son; Jason Zanga and wife Kcee, daughter; Farrah Zanga, brother; Lawrence Zanga and his wife Alice, sisters; Sandra (Zanga) Bindoo and husband Carlisle, Mary (Zanga) Raymond and husband Bruce, grandchildren; Lyndsey and Landon Guilmette and Carter Hopkins, as well as several nieces and nephews.
