Jon R. Anderson

ATHOL - Jon Roger Anderson, age 79, of Athol died Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at his home. Jon was born November 2, 1936 in Athol. He is the son of the late Carl B. and the late Nellie Ida (Prevere) Anderson. He was employed at L.S. Starrett Company as a trucker for 17 years and previously worked as a shoe maker at McElwin for 25 years. Jon was a family man, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting. He is survived by his wife: Edith B.(Bushee) Anderson , five daughters: Debra J. Binkaunski and her husband Tom of Athol, Edith L. Graves and her husband Ronald of Athol, Terry Anderson of Corona, CA, Brenda L. Coleman and her husband Owen of Corona, CA, Kirstie Gallegos and her husband Steve of Dover, DE and one son: Jon C. Anderson and his wife Denise of Candia, NH; one brother: Ronald Anderson of FL; He also has many nieces and nephews and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son, Norman C. Anderson, his brothers, Richard, William and Michael, sister, Virginia, and his granddaughter, Jennifer Zwicker. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at 11AM at Silver Lake Cemetery in Athol, with Rev. David Poole Officiating.
