ATHOL — Jonathan M. Baker, 32, of Athol, died on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017. He was the beloved son of Nancy Bailey and Mal Baker.
Jonathan was born on June 5, 1985, in Concord. He attended the Athol-Royalston School system, later he was home schooled and received his high school diploma from the American School of Correspondence. Jonathan loved being outdoors and his work reflected this. He worked for Gelinas Landscaping and Lewis Tree Service. He also worked for Thomas & Betts. Most of all Jonathan loved being with his children. He enjoyed teaching his son and step-daughter to ski and dirt bike ride. He loved bowling, swimming, making snow forts and camp fires with them. Jonathan loved his family and friends and was loyal to everyone.
Jonathan is survived by his son, Isaiah Baker of Athol; and step-daughter Mykela Taylor of Erving; his mother, Nancy Bailey and step-father Richard Bailey of Athol; his father Mal Baker of Keene, N.H.; his grandmother Alice Aldenberg of Clinton; his long-time girlfriend, Krystle Bass; and his sister, Alexa. He also leaves his niece, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 4 to 7 p.m., in Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home 146 Main St., Athol.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be private at a later date.
