MARBLEHEAD: Joseph F. Auffrey 88, formally of Leominster, died Sunday morning November 8, 2009 in the Devereux House in Marblehead MA. after an illness. He was born March 16, 1921 in Moncton New Brunswick Canada the son of the late Ferdinand Auffrey and Suzanne (Cormier) Auffrey and came to the United States many years ago. He leaves two sons: Richard F. Auffrey and his wife Virginia of Marblehead and Lawrence A. Auffrey and his wife Diane of Manhattan Beach, California; one daughter,Judith Ann Kokernak of Melbourne, Florida; eight grandchildren, Nicole Auffrey, Amanda Lawton, Erin Auffrey, Stephanie Auffrey, Nicholas Auffrey, Michael Kokernak, Matthew Kokernak and Katrina Kokernak; one great granddaughter, Giavanna Mandracchia; and Nephews and nieces. His wife of (65) Years Arline A. (Boudreau)Auffrey died October 16,2008. Two brothers and five sisters predeceased him. Mr Auffrey worked as a Mold Maker for Banner Tool and Die Company in Leominster MA. for (25)Years. He was a member of the Leominster ELKS, Union St Jean DeBaptiste and Holy Family of the Nazareth Church. He enjoyed playing golf, woodworking and being with his grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Wednesday November 11, 2009 from Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St. Leominster MA. with a 12:30 Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family of the Nazareth Church 750 union St. Leominster MA. Burial will follow in St Leos Cemetery Leominster MA. Calling hours in the funeral home are Wednesday morning from 10 am -12 noon.
