Joyce Elaine Patch

Hinsdale-Joyce E. Patch, 69, of Hinsdale, NH, and a lifelong resident of Cheshire County, passed away suddenly on January 19, 2018 at the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital in Brattleboro, VT. She was born on February 4, 1948 in Keene, NH, to Donald W. Patterson and Irene I. (Matson) Patterson. Joyce had been a longtime employee of Wetterau Foods in Keene, and at the time of her death was employed by Chesco and United Natural Foods. She possessed an incredible work ethic and worked tirelessly to provide for her family. She was married to Roland E. Patch in a simple ceremony at the Immaculate Conception Church in Troy, NH, on September 10, 1966. She is survived by her husband of Sneedsville, TN; children, Christina Allen (Charles) of Ocala, Florida and Michael Patch and his wife Karen of Hinsdale, NH; sisters, Sheila Foote and her husband Dick of Swanzey, NH, and Wanda Higgins and her husband Wayne of Fitzwilliam; four grandchildren, Anthony Curtin and his fiancée, Alisha Taylor, Cassandra Curtin and her fiancée, Richard Pfleiderer, all of Orlando, Florida and Eric Patch of Hinsdale, NH; great-grandchildren, Cadon, Bryan and Aleyah Curtin. Cassandra will soon be having the fourth great-grandchild. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Donald and Irene Patterson. Joyce was a much loved mother, sister and grandmother. She loved her family without any reservations. She was a sensitive soul who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. There will be a Celebration of Life for Joyce on February 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the VFW, Main St. in Winchester, NH. A graveside service will be held in the spring. Joyce had been in the process of obtaining a life insurance policy, but she passed away before it was completed.
