GARDNER - Judith A. Lajoie, 92 of 49 Abbott St., Gardner, died Sunday, March 19, 2017 in the Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
She was born in Gardner, on June 20, 1924, the daughter of the late Wilbrod and the late Flore (Benoit) Lajoie.
Judith grew up in Gardner and was a life-long resident. She was a graduated of Gardner High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Grant's Department Store and for several other local businesses. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed knitting & crocheting and gardening. She loved people.
She leaves three nieces, Janine T. Bebas and her husband John of West Boylston, Paulette Leger and her husband James of Rindge, NH, Denise Bratkon and her husband Vince of Holden; many great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Roger Lajoie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00 am in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery will be held in the spring.
A calling hour will be held Saturday from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at the Lamouruex-Fletcher & Smith Funeral Home., 105 Central St., Gardner.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner, MA 01440
