Julia M. Baublis

ATHOL - Julia M. (Pappas) Baublis, 86 of 739 Daniel Shays Highway, Athol, died Friday, March 23, 2007 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol, MA. She was born in Lawrence, MA, on October 6, 1920, the daughter of the late Samuel and the late Mary (Stathakis) Pappas. She moved to the Athol area in the mid 1930's and has resised here since. Mrs. Baublis was employed at the L.S. Starrett Company for many years. She was a member of the Orange Senior Citizens Association and the Riverbend Woods Association. She enjoyed trips to foxwoods and playing bingo. She leaves one sister, Helen M. Alexakis of Athol and several neices and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, John D. Baublis who died in 1999, and by three sisters and three brothers. A graveside service will be held at Friday, March 30, 2007 at 10:00 am in the lower section of Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to American Cancer Society´s, New England Division Office, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
