SCARBOROUGH, MAINE - Julie Helen (Petronis) Kelly, 91 of 13 Hampton Circle, Scarborough, Maine, formerly of Athol, MA, died Monday, March 26, 2007 in the Springbrook Nursing Home, Westbrook, Maine. She was born in Athol, Mass., on May 25, 1915, the daughter of the late Stanley and the late Anna (Tylis) Petronis. She grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School. She went on to graduate from Becker College. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her loving family. She was a member of the St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Scarborough. The family would like to thank the staff of Springbrook Nursing Home for their care. She leaves one son: Bernard Philip Kelly and his wife Sandra of Scarborough, ME; one granddaughter Nancy Adele (Kelly) Nutter and her husband Michael of PA; one grandson, Brian Philip Kelly of Brooklyn, NY; one sister, Anne Hayden of Orange; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bernard Philip Kelly who died in 1972, by a son, Daniel Alan Kelly who died in1949 and by two sisters, Irene Petronis and Ida Petronis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Friday, March 30, 2007 at 11:00 am in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 101 Main St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at the J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home 137 Main St., Athol, MA.
