Julie Therese (Geiselman) Kenney, of Athol, MA passed away July 9th, 2024 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after an illness. She was born September 3rd, 1956 in Gardner, MA to Harry T. Geiselman and Andrée (Wirtz) Geiselman.

A 1976 graduate of Mascenic Regional High School, she also attended Mount Wachusett Community College and the University of Phoenix. Julie worked for NCAC, later Spectrum Health Systems, out of Leominster for many years, and for a short time at Athol Savings Bank. She worked for 23 years as a Tax Professional at H&R Block with many dedicated customers she cared about.

In 1977 she married James Kenney, and they enjoyed 46 years of marriage together. She loved her friends and family to no end. She was always happiest in the company of her husband, James Kenney, her 3 sons and daughters-in-law. Her granddaughters were the light of her life, and she loved to spoil them with gifts and delicious treats. She enjoyed spending summers with her family and close friends in Ocean Park, Maine, a place very special to them. She also loved watching her sons, and later her granddaughters, play sports. She rarely missed a game, even into their adulthood, and was always the loudest mom to cheer them on. She dedicated many years to supporting Chuck Stone Little League in many capacities including President and District 3 Coordinator. Julie was a woman of many talents, and enjoyed quilting, cross-stitch, sewing, baking, and researching her family history.

Julie is survived by her husband, James Kenney of Athol; sons Jason Kenney and his wife Susan of Ware, Shawn Kenney and his wife Danna of Babylon, NY, and Timothy Kenney and his wife Ashley of Hubbardston; granddaughters Fiona and Arianna; her mother Andree Geiselman of Jaffrey, NH; sister Lisa Geiselman of Jaffrey, NH, brother Harry Geiselman of NH; and many nieces and nephews.
