June Kisiel

June 11, 1931 — June 11, 2018

June G. Kisiel Gardner – June G. (Dick) Kisiel, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away with family by her side on her 87th birthday on Monday, June 11, after a year-long battle with cancer. June was born on June 11, 1931, in Van Buren, Maine, the daughter of Claire and Levi Dick. As a child, June and her family moved to Gardner, where she resided her entire life. June attended Holy Rosary and was a graduate of Gardner High School. June spent her life caring for others, and she did so with an inexhaustible supply of patience and humility. She was kind, loving and had a great sense of humor, qualities that her family admired, and attributes that helped to maintain life-long friendships with fellow Holy Rosary students Doris Casavant and Theresa Belliveau. June enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, and she especially enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. June will be sadly missed by two sons, Alan Kisiel and his wife Christine of Hubbardston; Keith Kisiel and his companion, Dawn Marino of Gardner; a daughter, Linda Elwell of Gardner; five grandchildren, Lindsey Kisiel and her partner Gil Rodriguez, Nicholas Kisiel, Darren Elwell, Meghan Elwell; and one great granddaughter, Mia Rodriguez. June was predeceased by her husband of 65 years Stanley J. Kisiel in 2016, a grandson Jordan Elwell and son-in-law Charles “Butch” Elwell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Services are being kept private.
