GARDNER- K. Bridgett Foley, 63, of Gardner, died Friday, August 11, in Tewksbury Hospital after a brave struggle with Huntington's Disease.
Bridgett was born in Oakland, California on St. Patrick's Day to the late John A. and Kathleen E. (O'Rourke) Foley. She was the eldest of eight children. Bridgett traveled extensively. She enjoyed trips to Ireland, Germany, Canada, Mexico, Aruba, and throughout the United States. She loved music and reading but family was most important. Bridgett was a very loving and generous sister and aunt.
She graduated from Mount Wachusett Community College and worked for NEBS until her retirement.
She leaves one brother, Brendan Foley and his wife, Lumania of Westminster; four sisters, Eleanor M. Lashua of Gardner, Anne Foley and her husband, David Briggs of Westminster, Theresa Croteau and her husband, Bryan of Hubbardston, and Barbara Kowalski and her husband, John of Gardner; many nieces, nephews, and a great nephew, all of whom she adored.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Hugh and Daniel Foley, one nephew, one great niece and one great nephew.
A calling hour will be held Monday, August 21, from 9-10am with a memorial service immediately following at 10am in Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks Funeral Home, a Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner. Burial will follow in New Cemetery, Ashburnham.
