ATHOL - Karen Elizabeth (Raymond) Duguay, 35 of 144 Rice St., Athol, wife of John L. Duguay, Jr., died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester, MA.
She was born in Greenfield, on December 29, 1980, the daughter of Bruce S. and Mary A. (Zanga) Raymond.
Karen grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School with the class of 1999. She received her Associates Degree from Mount Wachusett Community College and a Bachelors Degree from Fitchburg State College.
She worked as a Human Resources Supervisor for I.C. Federal Credit Union and she formerly worked for Resource Management Inc.
Karen enjoyed walks with John and their dog Franklin, and cuddling with her cat Penelope. She loved spending time and having fun with her family and friends.
She leaves her loving husband John L.Duguay, Jr.; her parents Bruce and Mary Raymond; her sister, Shelley Raymond; her paternal grandmother, Germaine Raymond; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Philip Raymond, Sr. and by her maternal grandparents, Amedeo and Albertine Zanga.
A prayer service will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday from 12 - 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
