Karen M White

September 12, 1954 — September 16, 2021

GARDNER-Karen M. (Tooker) White, 67, of Gardner and formerly of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 16, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. She was born September 12, 1954 in Gardner, Massachusetts, daughter of Pauline Bedard Tooker and Edmund Tooker. Karen’s children will always remember her as a voice of reason amongst the chaos, story teller, lifelong friend, partner in crime, sunshine amongst the clouds of life and their loving and endearing crazy lady who recently became their angel. Karen loved arts and craft, animals, reading, and adventures, but most of all she loved people with an immeasurable compassion. Karen was a wanderer and that enabled her to meet a lot of different people-she always made an impression. She was kind hearted, and generous with a mission to help others. She donated time to various charity organizations and spent many years as an active member of Church of the Nazarene in Fitchburg. She believed in community outreach programs and assisted in any capacity she was able. After living for many years in the Midwest, where she worked in housekeeping and cared for retired veterans, she returned home to be with family and reunite with old friends. She spent her final days making those around her smile. Karen is predeceased by her mother, Pauline Champagne; and husband, Victor White. She is survived by her daughters Melody Larson and her husband Nathan Larson of Keene, New Hampshire, Kim Watts and her husband Kevin Watts of Bedford, Massachusetts, and son Russell Harris Of Keene, New Hampshire; three grandchildren, Ada Larson, Gwendolyn Watts, and Daniel Watts; Sisters Joanne Hill of Colebrook, New Hampshire, Lorna Matthews of Gardner, Massachusetts, Melanie Tooker of North Hollywood, California and Nadine (Bussy) Taylor of Clinton, Massachusetts; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. A celebration of life will be held at The Church of the Nazarene, 800 South Street, Fitchburg, MA on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 4-8.
