TEMPLETON- Karl E. Voutila, 54, of Templeton, died Friday, July 7, 2017.
Karl was born July 21, 1962, in Gardner, son of Raymond E. Voutila and the late Rachel E. (Richards) Voutila. He graduated from Narragansett Regional High School in 1980 and received his Bachelor Degree from UMass Amherst.
Karl worked as a Lineman for Verizon for several years. He was a sports enthusiast, playing in the Gardner City Softball League and the Templeton Social Softball League. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 129 in Gardner and the Gardner Elks Lodge #1426. Karl enjoyed sports and the ocean, but above all he loved people. He adored his nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, Ray E. Voutila, Karl leaves his longtime companion, Diane Walker of Phillipston; one brother, David Voutila and his wife, Cynthia of Templeton; two sisters, Rae-Ann Trifilo and her husband, Rick of Baldwinville, and Linda Storm and her husband, Mark of Meredith, NH; many nieces and nephews; many friends.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. in Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks - A Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner.
A calling hour will be held prior to the funeral Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. in the funeral home.
