Katharina S (Frank) Bedard

LEOMINSTER -- Katharina S. (Frank) Bedard 74, of Leominster, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in St. Vincent's Hospital, Worcester, following a short illness. She was born in Germany, the daughter of the late Ignaz and Anna (Keiser) Frank, and the husband of the late Raymond Bedard, Sr. whom she spent 47 years of marriage with. Katharina attended school in Germany, where she met her husband, married him in 1957 and after Raymond had spent 20 years in the military; they moved and settled down in Leominster until her death. She worked at United Plastics for over 30 years. She will be missed for her good cooking and the time that she spent with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Katharina also enjoyed dancing, visiting Cornerstones Restaurant for her Saturday night dinners and playing Keno and spending Sundays with her sisters in laws Marie and Alice. Katharina leaves behind two sons, Raymond Bedard, Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Leominster and Francis Bedard of Leominster, two daughters, Heidi Legault of Leominster, and Karin Kilbreth and her husband Michael of Canton, Maine, one sister, Rosa Engels and her husband Wolfgang of Germany. She also leaves behind two daughters-in-law, Jody Bedard of Uhrichsville, Ohio and Carol Bedard of Leominster, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, one son, Andrew Bedard, and one son-in-law, David Legault, Sr. BEDARD -- Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm from the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster.
