Katherine A. (Phinney) Eriksen

Katherine A. Eriksen Springfield – Katherine A. (Phinney) Eriksen, 52, died Monday, March 12, 2012 at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield after being stricken at her home last Wednesday.      She was born in Pembroke, Ontario, Canada on September 10, 1959, the daughter of Keith C. Phinney  and Dorothy (Pepperdine) Phinney.  Kathy moved to Athol in 1965, attending Athol schools and for the past 12 years has resided in Ludlow and Springfield.      Kathy enjoyed skiing and returning to Canada for family visits. She most especially loved spending time with her children and her grandson Cameron.      She leaves her husband, Erik Eriksen of Ludlow; a daughter, Solveig Eriksen of Springfield;  a son, Stefan Eriksen of Ludlow;  a grandson, Cameron and her father, Keith C. Phinney and his wife Joyce of Athol.  She was predeceased by her mother Dorothy in 2008.      A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol with the Rev.
