WORCESTER - Kathleen M. (Auger) Jackson, 84 of 340 May St., Worcester, formerly of Athol, died Sunday, December 16, 2007 in the Tatnuck Park Assisted Living, Worcester.
She was born in Keene, NH, on February 19, 1923, the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Kathryn (Gilbo) Auger.
She attended early grades in Keene, N.H. and entered the Orange schools when the family moved to Orange. She graduated from Orange High School in 1941 and worked as a secretary in the former Leavitt Machine Co. She then worked as an accountant in the Union Twist Tool Company and later in the office of Dr. Robert Knight in both Athol and Orange. In 1987 she and her husband retired to South Yarmouth on Cape Cod. Her husband of 50 years, Vernon Jackson died in January of 1997.
Mrs. Jackson was a former communicate of St. Pius Church in South Yarmouth where she was active in the women's guild and the craft fairs. She was also in antiques and auctions and in later years in the Cape Cod Hospital Auxiliary.
She leaves one sister, Jacquelin A. Cetto and her husband James of Athol; a niece, Kathleen Godin and her husband Gary of Rutland; a nephew, Timothy J. Cetto and his wife Gail of Sterling; her great niece, Kaitlyn Godin of Rutland; her great nephew, Brendan Godin of Rutland; her great nephew, James Cetto of Sterling; her great niece, Heather Cetto of Sterling; and a great niece, Deanna Cetto of Sterling.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will follow in South Cemetery, Orange.
There are no calling hours.
