ATHOL- Kathleen H. (Hutt) Krustapentus, 92, of Athol, died Saturday, December 1, after an illness.
Kathleen was born February 16, 1926, in Phillipston, daughter of the late Stanley and MaryEllen (Hand) Hutt. She graduated from Athol High School in 1944 and attended Mount Wachusett Community College. Kathleen was the Director of medical records at Athol Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1988 to pursue her interest in traveling and being with her family. She traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe and was so proud of her trips to Ireland, her grandmother's birthplace. Kathleen was an avid reader and had a keen interest in politics and current events. She was known to engage in lively discussions with her sons and grandchildren regarding the current political situations.
She was predeceased by her husband, Peter P. Krustapentus.
She leaves her three children and their families, Thomas and Maureen Krustapentus of Nashua, NH, MaryEllen and J. Charles Scribner of Royalston, and Andrew Krustapentus of Oxford; she also leaves seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, all of whom adored their Gram; many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather to pay their respects Wednesday, December 12, from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Higgins-O'Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol. The Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis Church, 101 Main St., Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery.
