Kay J. Strach

ATHOL-Kay J. (Ingalls) Strach, 74, of 739 Daniel Shays Highway, died Wednesday in Athol Memorial Hospital, following an illness. Her husband, Toffield B. J. Strach, M.D. died in 1989. She leaves two brothers, Florry Ingalls of Pittsfield, and Wayne Ingalls of Palm Springs, California; a sister, Marvis Michel of Orange; and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Marion LaFord died in 1981. She was born in Orange, June 20, 1928, a daughter of Fred R. and Dorothy M. (Brown) Ingalls, and was raised there. She had lived many years in Gorham, Maine many years before coming to Athol 12 years ago. She graduated from Orange High School with the class of 1946. Mrs. Strach was a receptionist for her husband, Dr. Toffield Strach, who had his internal Medicine practice in Portland, Maine. Private burial will be held in Gethsemane Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
