GARDNER - Kenneth Pierre Jaillet,73, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Gardner on December 10, 1948, a son of the late Septime Jaillet and Pauline (Brideau) Jaillet.
Ken grew up in Gardner and graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1966. He was a member of the North Worcester County Champion Track Team. He went on to attend Mount Wachusett Community College and then received his Bachelors' Degree in Business from Worcester State College. He was drafted and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked at Thom McAn and GEM Industries before becoming the Vice President of Finance and Administration for Dienes Corporation in Spencer where he worked for over 36 years.
Ken was a member of the Napoleon Club, the PACC, Gardner American Legion, a former member and treasurer of Club 25, and was instrumental in helping many local people with a career path serving on CETA (Comprehensive Employment and Training Act)
Ken traveled extensively with his wife Priscilla and enjoyed wintering in Sarasota, FL the last 7 years. He was a long time member of the Gardner Golf Course, an excellent skier and enjoyed beating his best friend Bob Woj in pool.
He leaves his loving wife of 35 years, Priscilla (Gallant) Jaillet; a brother, Richard Jaillet; niece and caregiver Michelle Boudreau; several God Children; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by a brother Harold "Seppie" Jaillet; by two sisters, Carol Howlett, Janice Leach and by his God-Son Nick Wojtukiewicz.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 11:00 am in Annunciation Parrish - Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial with military honors will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans' Cemetery, Winchendon.
There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations in Kenneth's memory be made to the Disabled Veterans. Donations may be made via their website www.dav.org
