ATHOL- Kenneth Francis Mousseau, 76, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Athol Memorial Hospital. Kenneth was born in Leominster, MA on September 21, 1945, son of the late Gerard R. Mousseau, Sr and Lorraine I. (Boudreau) Mousseau. He graduated from Athol High School in 1963 and attended Essex Agricultural Technical School. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1963-1966. He served on the USS Intrepid. He worked for the Erving Paper Mill, Athol Gas Co., Union Twist Drill, and 27 years at Pexco in Athol, MA until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of the American Legion for 56 years. He enjoyed woodworking, watching the N.E. Patriots & the Boston Red Sox. He loved to attend the grandchildren’s sports games and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed making his waterfall pond. He and Janet enjoyed being with their travel buddies, Gail and Art on their many adventures and mystery rides. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet M. (Brault) Mousseau; a son, Jarret W. Mousseau and his wife Cheryl; a daughter, Taunya L. Davis and her husband John; four grandchildren, Hunter Shahbaz and her husband Hassan, William Storm Poser, Trevor Mousseau, and Kayden Mousseau; two brothers, William J. Mousseau and his wife Lori, John Mousseau and his wife Kathie; three sisters, Gail Will and her husband Art, Joanne King and her husband Bruce and Cheryl Mousseau Alvarez; three sister-in-laws, Caroline Mousseau, Theresa Deloffi and her husband Peter, Irene Drozdowski and her husband John; two brother-in-laws, Denis Brault and his wife Denise and Mark Brault and his wife Jill; Many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as his godchild and close friend Lori Warner. Kenneth is predeceased by his parents and his brother Gerard R. Mousseau Jr.
Kenneth’s funeral will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School Street, Athol, MA 01331
Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Fiske Murphy Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange, MA 01364 Masks are required per order of the Orange Board of Health.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Kenneth's name to Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School Street, Athol, MA 01331 for the Restoration Fund.
