ATHOL-Laura M. Duguay, 76, of 28 Morton Meadows, died Sunday, November 24, 2002, in UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester, following an illness. She leaves four brothers, Leonard "Pee Wee" Duguay of Ashland, NH; Edward Duguay and Nelson Duguay, both of Athol, and John Duguay of Greenfield; five sisters, Natha Duguay, Edna Mallett, Marie Songer, and Jeanette Capone, all of Athol, and Laurenda Holmes of Orange; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Two brothers, Wilfred "Shrimpy" Duguay and Richard Duguay, predeceased her.
She was born in Athol, November 4, 1926, a daughter of Hyacinthe and Anne (Savoy) Duguay, and lived here all of her life. She attended Athol schools.
She worked at the former Athol Manufacturing Company for many years, and later was a housekeeper in area private homes, before retiring.
A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002 at 11 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 105 Main Street. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
