Lawrence "Larry" Michael Brandt, a loving and devoted father, husband, and brother, passed away on August 10, 2024. Born on January 27, 1953, Lawrence was a beacon of resilience, wit, and integrity that illuminated the lives of all who knew him. A native of Berlin, Massachusetts, Lawrence's life was characterized by his unwavering commitment to family, his passion for hard work, and his quick-witted humor that brought smiles to everyone he met.

Known in his professional life as a diligent Building Inspector for the Town of Hubbardston, Town of Berlin, and Town of Templeton, Lawrence was admired for his dedication and integrity. His expertise and commitment were recognized when the town of Berlin proclaimed June 30th as “Lawrence Brandt Day,” a testament to his more than two decades of exceptional service. In his personal life, Lawrence was a master of woodworking and carpentry, hobbies that showcased his attention to detail and creativity. Lawrence also enjoyed skiing, the ocean, and travel and explored many destinations both in the US and in Europe. His loving nature extended to his family, always ready to sacrifice for their well-being. Lawrence loved his family through his warmth and humor, but also through his hard work, sacrifice, and dedication.

Lawrence is survived by his devoted wife, Terri; his loving children, Benjamin and Rachel; his daughter-in-law, Christen MacIntyre, and cherished grandchildren, Liam and Sophia Brandt; his sister, Holly, and brother, Roland. Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, Eric and Rolande, and his siblings, Richard, Martin, and Linda.

As we gather to say our final goodbyes, we will remember Lawrence not with sorrow but with the joy and laughter he brought into our lives. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 9:00 - 11:00 am in the Mack Family Funeral Homes, 105 Central Street, Gardner, Massachusetts, 01440. A private burial will follow.

In honoring Lawrence's life, we invite you to share your treasured memories and photographs on his memorial page. His life was a tapestry of love, service, and laughter, and your shared experiences will serve to enrich this beautiful mosaic.
