Lawrence (Larry) E. Butler

GARDNER – Lawrence (Larry) E. Butler, 58 of Gardner, died Thursday, April 22, 2021 in the Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born in Gardner, on November 28, 1962, the son of the late David H. Butler and Helen M. (Pappas) Butler. He graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1980. He received his degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and worked as an accountant for the Patni Computer Systems of Cambridge MA. He leaves his loving partner Thomas Peters of Chestnut Hill MA, his mother, Helen M. Butler of Gardner; two brothers, Terrance D. Butler and his wife Laurie of Torrance California, Andrew P. Butler and his partner Colleen of Gardner, He also leaves three Aunts and one Uncle, Irene Hill of Spring Valley CA, Anne Johnson of Somerville MA, Mary and Paul Sylvester of Gardner, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Dennis J. Butler and Jonathan H. Butler. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Gardner. A calling hour will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 am. prior to the funeral.
