ATHOL - Lee Michael LeBlanc, 55 of Athol, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Athol Hospital.
He was born in Athol, on December 29, 1960, the son of the late Bernard J. and the late Marjorie A. (Soucie) LeBlanc.
He grew up in Athol and married the love of his life, Jeanne, whom he spent 30 years with. He was a call firefighter for many years for the Town of Athol Fire Department. He worked for the L. S. Starrett Company for many years before fulfilling his dream of driving “real” Tonka Trucks.
“Mike” aka “Tejoe” enjoyed hunting, woodworking, collecting knives and of course Tag Sales and Flea Markets, looking for the great Tonka or Matchbox find. He loved vacations in Old Orchard Beach, ME, cruising in the car listening to music and friends and family surrounding a fire pit. His most prized possessions were his grand babies - they meant the world to him.
He leaves two daughters: Jennifer Romero Da Silveira of Orange, Sarah LeBlanc of Athol; one son: Bernard LeBlanc of Athol; six grandchildren: Caleb, Ryan, Bernie, Evelyn, Evan & Dagan; two sisters: Lynn Wesockes, Lisa LeBlanc; one brother: Lonnie LeBlanc, his baby girl “Tink Tink”; aunts & uncle: Betty Soucie, Yvonne Soucie, Esther and David Soucie; many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.
A calling hour will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 5 pm at the Franco American Club, Exchange St., Athol.
