Templeton – Leo (Bob) Richard Martin, 77 of Templeton, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Gardner on April 12, 1940, he was the son of the late Joseph P. Martin and Gladys (Keefner) Martin. He married Nan (Graham) Martin on June 29, 1991. They had been together a total of 41 years. Bob attended Templeton schools and the Saxton Trade School. On completion of school he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1957. Following his service, he joined the J. P. Martin family business, becoming partners with his father Joseph and his brother Paul until his retirement. He was a member of the First Church of Templeton, a life member of the Elks (57years), a life member of the Artisan Lodge A.F.& A. M. Masons (a Master Mason for 54 years). He was also a member of West End Beagle Club. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching the Patriots and Red Sox, going to the casinos and his dog Abby. Bob is survived by his wife: Nan (Graham) Martin of Templeton; six children: Iva Theriault and her husband Phillip R. of Templeton, Ruby Croteau and her husband Robert of Phillipston, Joseph Martin and his wife Joyce of Royalston, Shawn Graham and his wife Diana of Phillipston, Carrie Ellis and her husband Jason of Bernardston, Michelle Weitknecht of Templeton; one brother: Paul Martin and companion Diane of Athol; one sister: Marcia Quattrociocchi and her husband Paul of Templeton; fifteen grandchildren: Bobby, Ashley, Sarah, Marissa, Joey, Adam, Kristine, Michael, Krista, Jami, Lacey, Savy, Bobby, Karlee, Brayden; twenty-three great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
