Leo A. Rameau

Westminster

Leo A. Rameau (T-Boy, Sonny) 90, of Westminster died unexpectedly after a short illness on Sunday, January 5, 2025. His longtime companion, Anna (Arcangeli) Mailloux died December 2013.

Leo was born in Fitchburg on April 21, 1934, the son of William and Lourana (Lussier) Rameau. A lifelong resident of Westminster. 

He attended Upton Elementary School in Westminster and attended Fitchburg High Class of 1952, enlisted in the US Navy in 1953 - 1957, and was a BT3 upon the USS Bache DD/DDE-470, during the Korean War. 

Mr. Rameau worked as an independent contractor until retirement.

He was Past Commander of the Westminster VFW Post 7389. T-Boy enjoyed his unlimited Friday night gatherings, playing softball as their dreaded pitcher, Santa’s Helper for unlimited VFW Christmas Events, participated in the Memorial Day ceremonies, marched in the towns parade and consistent loyalty of 50 years of honor to the American Legion, 1974-2024.

His passion was hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with family and friends.

He leaves his step sons, Dennis Mailloux and his wife Jane of Tewksbury, Paul Mailloux of Utah, his step grandson, Brian Mailloux of Leominster, His step granddaughter, Jennifer Rochon, her companion Mike Haley and their daughter Emilia of Westminster, George and Jane Riddle of Westminster in which he spent holidays with the family.  He also leaves his brother Kenneth Rameau, loving niece, Karen Long of Winchendon, favorite cousin/caretaker, Bonnie, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his siblings, James Rameau, Theresa “Baby” Sliter, both of Westminster, Jeannette Belliveau of Fitchburg and Irene Araujo of Mashpee.

T-Boy was loved by all. His kind soul and warm smile will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 12 pm - 5 pm at the Westminster VFW, 3 Eaton St., Westminster.
