ATHOL - Lillian B. (Guillemette) Lee, 100, of 126 Silver Lake St., Athol, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the Athol Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Athol on November 19, 1909, the daughter of the late Dominic and the late Ophellia (Willette) Guillemette.
Mrs. Lee was a lifelong resident of Athol and attended local schools. She was a homemaker for most of her life and had worked as a stitcher for the former Ansin Shoe Company in Athol several years ago. She was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church in Athol and a member of the Catholic Women's League. In her younger years, Lillian enjoyed fishing in Petersham and going for long walks with her husband, Fred. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and cherished time spent with all of her beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She leaves a brother, Joseph "Bob" Guillemette of Sarasota, Florida; nieces and nephews, Frank Hughes, Dominic Guillemette, Pauline Hughes, all of Athol, Michael Hughes of West Virginia, Ronald Brunell of Pennsylvania, Donna Bordo of Elizabeth, New Jersey; many great nieces and great nephews, including Michael Hughes of Troy, New Hampshire, Richard Hughes and Robert Hughes, both of Athol.
She was predeceased by her husband of fifty-four years, Frederick A. Lee, on December 4, 1995; by her brother, Leon "Bill" Guillemette; and by four sisters, Cora Manning, Lora Brunell, Doris Bennett and Pauline Hughes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School Street, Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol.
Calling hours will be held Monday, October 4, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol, MA 01331.
