GARDNER- Lillian P. Genis, 97, of Gardner, died Friday, November 6, in her home.
Lillian was born July 25, 1923, daughter of the late Joseph and the late Bertha Genis and has lived in Gardner all her life. She was a graduate of Gardner High School and worked for Nichols & Stone for many years before retiring.
Lillian was extremely family oriented. She was a wonderful aunt who was a favorite playmate with the kids. She was generous, hard working and an avid reader. Her faith was incredibly important to her.
She leaves her niece, Gail and husband, Paul Cormier and their son, Jay Cormier, with whom she lived; and her nephew, Mark and wife, Brenda of Winchendon.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Edward, John and Leo Genis and her sisters, Ann Jarvis, Helen Foley, Stella Virta and Mary Keney.
A calling hour will be held Wednesday, November 11, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Mack Family Funeral Homes, Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks Chapel, 105 Central St., Gardner. The funeral Mass will
follow at 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Church, 70 Lovewell St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
