Linda M. (LaFountain) Brailey, 36, of 252 South St., Athol, died unexpectedly Thursday in St. Vincent's Hospital at the Worcester Medical Center in Worcester.
She was born in Athol January 8, 1967, daughter of Leonard J. and Roseanna M. (Foster) LaFountain and lived here all of her life. Linda attended Athol High School and was a member of Starrett Memorial Methodist Church in Athol. She was a cook at several area restaurants including the Brunch Box in Athol and the White Cloud Restaurant, 202 Restaurant and Norways Restaurant, all in Orange.
Besides her parents, with whom she lived, Linda is survived by three sons, Travis R. Brailey, Tyler J. Brailey and Thorne J. Brailey, all at home; her sister Marie L. Croteau and her husband Anthony of Athol; her paternal grandmother, Rita La Fountain of Athol, her longtime companion Paul A. Whitman of Athol and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service in the J. EDWARD MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 137 Main St., .Athol, Monday, June 30, at 10 AM. Burial will be in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol. Visiting hours at the funeral home are from 6-8 PM Sunday. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to the Brailey Children's Trust Fund, c/o Athol Credit Union, 513 Main St., Athol, MA 01331.
