Linda (Blanchard) Brunelle

ATHOL- Linda (Blanchard) Brunelle, age 94, of Athol, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Baldwinville Nursing Home. Linda was born January 14, 1921 in Shippagan, New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter of the late Edward and the late Albertine (Larocque) Blanchard. She came to Athol when she was 1 1/2 years old. She worked at the Ansin Shoe Company and in the shipping department at the L.S. Starrett Tool Company. She was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church, and a member of the Athol Golden Age Club. She is survived by one sister, Marguerite Connolly of Ridgewood, NJ; six nieces, her loving caregiver, Nancy Lagimoniere and her husband Bryan of Athol, Sheila Hall and her husband Doug of Hudson, NH, Kim Cullen and her husband Ronnie of Raleigh, NC, Julia Mulholland of Ringwood, NJ, Mary Fitzgerald and her husband David of Wayne, NJ, and Michelle Plummer and her husband Glen of Camp Hill, PA; six nephews, Allan Blanchard and his wife Cindy of Rapid City, SD, Roger Blanchard and his wife Susan of Shrewsbury, Kevin Blanchard of Sturbridge, Matthew Connolly and his wife Julie of Winsor, NC, Christopher Connolly and his partner Larry Schwinn of Rockville, MD, William Connolly and his wife Susan from West Milford, NJ; several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Rene R. Brunelle, brother, Joseph Blanchard and his wife Joyce, and niece, Diane Cote. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 22 at Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol.  Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol. Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 22 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange, MA.
