PHILLIPSTON – Linda G. (Insani) Jengo, 63, of Phillipston formerly of Gardner died Sunday, January 27, 2013 in Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol. She was born in Marlboro on February 13, 1949 the daughter of the late Gene and Margaret (Tori) Insani.  She grew up in Marlboro and graduated from St. Anne’s Academy in Marlboro.  She received her B.S. in Education from Anna Maria College. Linda was a teacher working for several years at the Millbury Elementary School and for 24 years at the J.R. Briggs Elementary School in Ashburnham.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and  BRATS (Briggs Retired Active Teachers Society).   She was an accomplished skier, tennis player; she enjoyed traveling, cycling, reading, the beach and time spent with her loving family. Linda is survived by her husband of 39 years, Dr. Peter R. Jengo; two sons, Michael P. Jengo of Fayston, VT, Anthony J. Jengo of Gardner; a brother, Richard Insani of Marlboro; a nephew, Bill Cosgrove of Columbus, Ohio and a niece, Carolyn Weaver of Williston, VT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January, 30, 2013 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 358 Pleasant St., Gardner.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Gardner. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2013, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Mack Funeral Home 91 Vernon St., Gardner. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to St. Joseph’s Church 358 Pleasant St., Gardner.
