Linda Anne Maillet

October 25, 1949 — May 15, 2021

Ashburnham-Linda Anne Maillet, 71 died Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Massachusetts General Hospital after an illness.   She leaves her son, Sean Marandino and his wife Sheena; three grandchildren, Lily, Joseph and Adrienne Marandino all of Ashburnham; one sister, Diane Dimacale of Ashburnham, four brothers, Bernie Maillet of NJ, James Maillet of PA, Ralph Maillet of Indiana  and Ronnie Maillet of TX; a nephew, Gregory Dimacale; a niece Danielle Monty and several nieces and nephews.    Linda is predeceased by a sister, June Maillet and a nephew, Matthew Carlos Dimacale.    Linda was born in St. Martin, Nova Scotia, Canada on October 25, 1949. Her family moved to New Jersey when she was a child and she graduated from Vineland High School in NJ. She also graduated from Fitchburg State College with a Master's degree in Education. She taught 7th grade Geography at the Groton Dunstable Middle School for 20 plus years.    She enjoyed traveling, especially her annual trips to Canada. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and going to the theater. Her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her three grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.    Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at. St. Denis Church, 85 Main Street, Ashburnham, MA 01431    Calling hours will be on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home.     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to  Matthew C. Dimacale Memorial Fund, 160 Pearl Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
