Linda M. (Maronie) Flanders

Linda M. Flanders Orange – Linda M. (Maronie) Flanders, 62, of Magoon Road, died Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.      Linda was born in Montague, Massachusetts, October 28, 1951, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Carey) Maronie.  She grew up in Orange, graduating from Ralph C. Mahar Regional High School in 1970.  She later moved to Rutland, returning to Orange with her husband where she lived the rest of her life.         Linda worked as a rural mail carrier for the Orange Post Office for more than 35 years.  She loved her job and appreciated the people on her Warwick Route.  She was a member of the Mt. Grace Sno Snoopers Snowmobile Club, loved to travel and loved it when her son and his family came to visit.   She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, having them over for visits and going to all their school games and activities.  Linda was a kind good hearted person, great wife, wonderful mother and a true friend of those who had the privilege of knowing her.  She will be greatly missed by many.         She leaves her husband of 43 years, Michael Flanders; two daughters, Jody Cole and her husband Eric of Warwick, Brandy Patch of Orange; a son, Michael Flanders and his wife Summer of Lake Charles, LA; five grandchildren, Garret, Deven, Alivia, Ariel and Morgan; a brother, Raymond Maronie of Orange and a sister, Shirley Proulx of Webster, MA and her best friend Becky LeClair who was always there for her and by her side.
